| For you X-men movie fans I have news on who's directing the third installment, which starts filming this Fall in Vancouver. It' not Brian Singer anymore. It's Brett Ratner ( Red Dragon ). Brian Singer is in the works on filming the up coming Superman movie, and later it might be the Logan's Run remake which originally starred Michael York. Michael York is now known for his character 'Basil' in Austin Powers. Steven Speilberg has Liam Neeson in mind to play Abe Lincoln in a future project. Slated to start filming later this year is Terminator 4. The story and cast is sitll unknown. Spiderman 3 is due in Summer 07 starring the original cast, and talks of Topher Grace ( That 70's show ) to play the latest villian. X-Men might be in the hands of greatness or disaster. Red Dragon was a well directed prequel to Silence Of The Lambs. I have faith in Brett Ratner. Brian Singer doing Superman instead is a mistake. Superman died with Chritopher Reeves. I think the Terminator 4 better be directed by the master himself. James Cameron. The storyline better focus on the war of the machines in the future post-apocalypic world. Not in the presnt for the fourth time. |

Wow.... X-men might be in trouble now. Halle Barry is out and now the director, Brian Singer is gone. Halle Barry I say good ridance to... but the loss of Brian Singer could be very band indeed. I am not sure about Brett Ratner but I can say that I was not overly impressed with Red Dragon.
Could the be the end for the X-men movies? |

I disagree, I think that losing Halle is worse than a director change. Not because she is a great actor, but because i think it will hurt to just write her out of the movie, and it will be worse to have a different actor play her role. There is nothing i hate more than to have a actor play a role only to have a different actor play it in a sequel, ie Batman. It just isnt believable to me.
And i thought Red Dragon was a decent movie, so he might be able to pull it off.If anything the death of the x-men movies might be the fact that at sometime people will get sick of seeing more comic book movies

I don't think they will have someone else play Storm. From what I understand, Halle Barry's role was to be very small in this upcoming movie and she was not happy about that. With her part only being small in this film I heard that they were simply going to write the character Storm out for this movie. However if they do decided to replace Halle with another actress then you are right Darth, having a second actress play Storm would be a bad thing. If they simply write her out, then it leaves the door open for Halle Barry to slip back into the role on the next movie... which doesn't seem that bad.
I only say good ridance to Halle because she didn't want to play in this movie unless her character, Storm, had more screen time. If this is the real reason for her departure from the role then I say it isn't a bad thing. Just like NHL players... see ya later... the product is good without you. |

| I've thought it over. I've decided they should delay production on X-men 3 far awhile. There are too many Marvel comics turned movies coming out. One a year would suffice. I need a break from these flicks. Unless they pull a crossover from Spiderman to X-Men, Daredevil, The Punisher, or even The Hulk forget about it. I need a break from Marvel. I doubt X-Men 3 will do well this time around. Then again there's always hope. |

hehe Dr. Spoot... let it go man... let it go
Mr Film, you may be right. All of this comic turned movie crap might have the general public on overload.
They should wait a little while, but that is not how it works... strike while the iron is hot they always say. One worked... why not 150 clones. |
