This site is primarily run by two amateur film critics, Mr. Film and Chris, and our great forum supporters who post every day.

Mr Film and I love movies, and it doesn’t seem to matter what genre the film is from. Even though we like movies of all kinds we are especially fond of action films and comedies. For a number of years now Mr Film and I have read the reviews of the so called professional movie critics and have been left unhappy with their bias against shows that are fun or exciting to watch. The professional critics tend to put too much emphasis on storyline and acting.

Before we go any further we would like to say that the storyline, acting and directing style are important but there are other important criteria that I think they miss out on. Was the movie enjoyable? Did you leave the movie theater or turn off the DVD player with a positive feeling about the movie? Did you spend half the day at the water cooler at work discussing some of the finer movie points with the people at work?

So when we review a movie you must keep in mind that we are not saying that the movie was the most skillfully directed, we are not saying the movie had the best storyline / plotline or that the acting was academy award winning film. We are simply stating our opinions of the overall movie. How did the movie make us feel? Was the movie going experience worth it? We don’t have to be extremely sad to enjoy a movie, in fact we enjoy raucous laughter just as much. The idea behind this movie forum, and movie reviews is to discuss movies, and maybe learn about a few you would not normally have seen because the Professional Movie Critic gave them such a poor review.

So to make it short, our reviews are geared towards our enjoyment level of the film and everything else is not as important.

If you are looking for the “Professional Movie Critic Review” you are at the wrong forum. You might not want to read any of our other writings if this is the case. This movie forum is for all of us average everyday movie fanatics that love movies that are fun and enjoyable to watch.
