A friend of mine lent me this album and I am pretty impressed. Disturbed is a fairly hard edge metal band which is most famous for their song called The Sickness. Disturbed's first album The Sickness was very raw and very good, their second one really lacked the edge of the first one. Ten Thousand Fists is yet another change but one, if you give it a chance, it is pretty good. Ten Thousand Fists is far more polished then the first two, and at first, I wasn't impressed. I decided to give it a second chance and I have decided that the album, though not as good as the Sickness, is still a good one. It lacks a little bit of the edge and raw emotion but all in all it is good.

Check it out... if you like heavy rock music.

Ten Thousand Fists Track List.

Disturbed's new album isn't bad with a few good heavy tracks unlike their first classic hard-heavy hitting album 'The Sickness' which rocked. I've been listening to Disturbed's new album off and on again trying to get into it, but can't yet. Right now I'm listening to Queens Of The Stone Age 'Lullabies To Paralyze' and 'Songs For The Deaf' religiously, and occasionally Audioslave, Foo Fighters, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, The Bravery, The Start, The Cure, Static X, Depeche Mode, and The White Stripes.

The more I listen to 10 thousand fists the more I like it.... I wasn't sold on it in the beginning... but now I think it is an album worth being in my collection.

Don't get me wrong I do like 'Ten Thousand Fists', but I'm a bit diasappointed with how radio-friendly Disturbed has become. Just like Metallica's black album, self titled album, which was also very radio-friendly and extremely disappointing. Metallica's two best albums where 'Master Of Puppets' and '...And Justice For All'. Metallica hasn't produced anything worthwhile since '...And Justice For All'. What the heck's up with 'Load' and 'ReLoad'? Complete crap. 'St. Anger' was a lame attempt to get back into the metal scene with the exception of the two tracks 'St. Anger', and 'Some Kind Of Monster'. Seems like I've strayed off from Disturbed. My point is being a huge fan of music and witnessing your favourite bands sell-out for more money only to manufacture pop, radio-friendly crap is sad for millions of fans of all walks of music. For example Korn did the same thing and went in the direction of money and not just the music which at one point in their lives meant something and now lacks meaningful passion. I'd give Disturbed's 'Ten Thousand Fists' an 5 out of 10 for some quality listening.

Mr. Film. Thats cool... you don't have to agree with me... and I would have actually given it a 5 out of 10 after my first few listens... Like I said... it grows on you.

Secondly... do you honestly expect bands to continue making music that doesn't hit mainstream? These guys have to make money to pay the bills and put their kids threw school.

I agree their first album The Sickness was better simply because it is less polished and has that raw edge... but the new one will grow on you... trust me.
