The Prisoner was indeed an unusual television show with only 17 episodes. The star of the series was Patrick McGoohan who played his character trapped in a village ruled by a man named Number 1. Weird? Yes. Patrick was Number 2. The premise of the The Prisoner was what does it all mean? Prisoner of society? Prisoner of oneself? McGoohan wanted the viewer to interpret the show themselves. I remember watching all 17 episodes going what the hell is this. Later viewing the The Prisoner a second time I came to love the imigination and creativity put into this short lived T.V. series. The Prisoner is a must see to believe. There have been no other shows which have even come close. Patrick also directed, executive produced, and screenwrote some of the Prisoner episodes. Bizarre and brilliant. I don't want give any of it away, so check it out and let it blow your mind.

I can't remember The Prisoner TV series. Mind you when I was younger I didn't watch alot of TV... now that I am older... I seem to have the opposite problem.

If I ever see it on TV I will watch it...

It is ancient. The show ran during the mid to late 60's.
