|
|
I'm being serious people. I rarely watch Tv anymore, compared to what I used to, because all there is on are 500 channels of BEEP. I have a few fav shows I like to watch. The Tv series Lost, A&E, TLC, and Discovery, and somtimes YTV for Spongebob Squarepants and Teletoon for Futurama. Mind you folks I do have kids who also enjoy Spongebob and Futurama. My kids have got me suckered into a few new cartoons I never knew existed, but that's for another topic for another day. What I'm asking from all of you is can you suggest something worth watching and give me a reason why I should check it out and why you watch it. There's got to be something out there I'm missing. There's only so many games, books, and movies to entertain/stimulate the mind. Let's hear your suggestions. |

| Well it is very interesting to watch the medical insight it givees you is amazing. The dialogue is very slick, Greg House is absolutely hilarious and Hugh Laurie plays him fantastically. Now I don not know where you are in the season over your end of the Atlantic but at my end the next episode is episode 18 so you may well be finished the season there but I do not know. Take it from me we have agreed on terms with Star Trek and James Bond as well as views on remakes so we may just agree on House. |

Well, Southsidestu I live on the West Coast in Blazin' Brithish Columbia. I will give House a chance. It sounds interesting. Just out of curiousity Southsidestu have you ever checked out 'Without A Trace'? I've only seen a few episodes, but it looks solid and intense storywise. |

I know that's your fav and I don't have to inquire why. Have you checked out the new Battlestar Galactica? |

I completely agree with Southside on HOUSE. It is an amazing show. Probably the best tv show I have watched in years. I dont know if this applies to everywhere, but I do know that now that the season has ended that the station here in victoria, channel 15, is going to be playing 2 episodes of house every tuesday starting at the beginning of the season so that those that are out there that havent see it yet can get caught up. and even though they will be repeats for me, I will be watching

| I have a friend who would say the same thing about that show House. Well the only way I'd be able to watch it is if I rent it cause I really don't like watching shows in the middle of the season or start watching it on season 2 or anything like that. |

New Battlestar is terrible... enough said.
I am starting to get into that HBO series Big Love. I find it strangely hypnotic.
I set House to auto record on my PVR as a few people have suggested that it is good... but my roommate deleted it before I got a chance to watch it. So I missed the first two episodes of season one.. not sure I want to watch it now. |

| You can't not watch it because of that, House is so popular that the reruns are in the top ten for viewing in all of the US and Fox's highest viewed show. |

Are episodes of House related? Do I need to see the first one to get the second one and so on? If not then I will give it a shot |

there is obviously a story line revolving around the doctors lives that are in the show and there interaction with each other, but each episode can stand alone almost. If you were to miss one or two episodes it wouldnt be a big deal due to the on going story lines it is easy enough to pick up what is going on with each character. I can not rave about this show enough, I even stop playing WoW for the hour that it is on, and for anyone that knows me that is saying alot.

I watched my first episode of House last night and it was pretty good. I am not sure what the episode was called but basically it was about a young girl who is suffering from cancer. She starts to have hallucinations and the medical team had to figure out the problem. House meanwhile is suffering from Hay Fever and is in a surly mood (But I gather this is normal for him anyway).... As a sub plot, House takes issue with the rest of the staff who proclaim this little girl is brave and decides to try and prove otherwise...
Anyway. I enjoyed the episode enough to watch another one. |

BEEP FUTURAMA, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, THE SIMPSONS, THE FAMILY GUY, DOG:THE BOUNTY HUNTER, DAVID BLAINE: STREET MAGIC, AMERICAN JUSTICE, BIOGRAPHY, CATCH OF THE DAY, CITY CONFIDENTIAL, IRON CHEF, HELLS KITCHEN, and of coarse the History and Discovery channel all the way! That's only a few when I get the opputunity to check them out. Oh yeah I almost forgot MuchMoreMusic's biography which is on five nights a week and Intervention on A&E. There's always room for more Tv to rot and tickle the brain. |
