Mark Messier retires
Mark Messier announced his retirement from the New York Rangers after 25 years in the league.
My husband will be very sad...he is a Messier fan all the way but not a New York fan |

New York is retiring his Jersey when the Oilers play the Rangers in New York.
Question I have... is he going to go in the Hall of Fame as an Oiler or as a Ranger....
My vote is as an Oiler..... just hope he sees it that way too. Would be a sad day in Canadian hockey if he goes in the Hall as a Ranger. |

I am not a huge hockey (nhl) fan, but I remember as a kid watching with my dad,Mark playing along side Gretzky. They were unstoppable. When you think of Hockey, as a kid especcially, you always remember on of the best Canadian Hockey players, Mark Messier.
As for him going into the hall of fame, well, I hope he goes in as a
" Great Canadian Hockey Player "
That is how I remember him
As for Mark, a huge PEACE OUT BROTHER
and a " CANADA KICKS BEEP!!" farewell !
Good Luck in your future!! |
