Guns 'N Roses were a solid BEEP kicking band, but Motley Crue would be my choice of the two. Don't get me wrong GNR's Appetite For Destruction was an amazing super charged, garage sounding punk/rock album unlike any other to this date. Appetite is one of the best albums of all time. After Lies, Lies. Lies I found GNR's sound went commercial with crappy orchestrated, piano playing overloaded ballads with rare rock tunes especially on Use Your Illusions I and II. No wonder everyone except Axle left. Besides Axles inflated ego, control issues the bands original chemistry deteriated growing sour leaving Axle alone hiding away in the Hollywood Hills snorting copious amouts of cocaine and seeking therapy working on an album ten years in the making. If you had the oppurtunity to see Axle a few years ago on the Music Awards you would've been shocked on how bloated, and pathetic he looked with the new members of GNR sounding like crap. Apparently GNR's album titled Chinese Democracy is slated for a late 2006 release. I doubt it will ever happen. The anticipation for this album will be hyped to a definate disappointed to any GNR fan new or old. If you don't have Slash, Izzy, Duff, Matt in the band it won't work even though Axle owns the name and rights to the band. Motley Crue has more intensity, talent, ferociousness, originalty and solid music and history full of extreme drug, alcohol abuse than other rock bands who managed to fade into oblivion or no longer have the craft to manage eardrum shattering tunes. With Mick, Nikki, Tommy, and Vince still touring turning up new material singing old school classics like Looks That Kill, Shout At The Devil, Dr. Feelgood, Home Sweet Home, and Afraid Motley remains untouchable and a true Rock 'N Roll band with girls still bouncing up and down topless at concerts screaming for more. Motley's music was basic. Their music consisted of drinking, drugs, sex, and party likes it's your last day on earth. Now who doesn't love that. Let me know who you choose as your fav band. Moltey Crue has never sounded terrible with the one exception when Vince Neil was booted from the band and replaced by some untalented vocalist who sounded like he was choking trying to scream some useless disposable language driving hardcore fans running for Vince to come back and get rid of this lame excuse of a singer. Besised that one bomb, bad choice the original band reunited continuing to kick BEEP worldwide. I hope they never cease to do so. Motley Crue Rocks Exclamation

G 'N R for me man. Motley lasted longer... but Guns and Roses was my favorite of the two.

Appetite for Destruction was one of the best albums of all time in my opinion. Lies, which followed that up was almost as good.
