My roommate and several of my closer friends are completely hooked on WoW. I mean... they have "Raid Night" and I don't see any of them.. and phone calls are not allowed... visits are not allowed... I think it might be an addiction.

I must admit that I have really thought about playing but I don't think I could keep it to a managable level... which would mean all of my websites and website customers would suffer... not a good idea. Smile

It is do-able chris - just got to make sure you do prioritise.

your flatmate and friends sound even worse than my friends over here!

you'll spot the users on the horde side are a lot friendlier and a lot more mature since the core users aren't a bunch of immature 12 year olds Razz

hehehe

Yes. The guys over here are hooked on it bad IMHO. Guyver, if he ever posts on here again, plays at least 4 - 6 hours a night after work and probably at least 10 -12 hours a day on his days off (sometimes more). I will not say he is addicted... I will leave that for you to judge Smile

The graphics are second to none as far as I can tell. The game play is impressive to say the least. Only complaints I hear on a constant basis are about a less than satifactory login server and less than satisfactory patch update delivery system. Other than that they are too involved in game play to complain about anything else.

I really like the look of World of Warcraft and I think that would really like to play it... I cannot afford to mess up on my other work so I am, at least for now, going to hold off. I think they play on the IceCrown server but I am not sure.....

WOW is an awesome game.

addicting? absolutely.
worth it? absolutely Razz

I play a 60 dwarven priest on illidan named Ruen.

Can i slay masses of people? Nope. Healing specced.

BUT i am one tough sucker to drop, and if I'm grouped....death flies all over the place, but usually we're the last ones standing Smile

Blizzard simply HAS to fix their login servers. Illidan regularly has queues of over 500 people. Or let me transfer my chars to a different server, that would be fine too Wink

Heh heh

I do play a lot. Not so much as of late, but I do love my alt's. Most nights I can be found on Icecrown US realm (or Icedown we share some of the same problems as David). So far I have a 60 Human Pally, a 60 NE Rogue, a 58 NE Druid, and a lot of other alts under 40. Alliance definatly out numbers the Horde about 2-1.

For which side has the more mature players on Icecrown I'd say it's an even slpit. Though the first thing I do when I make a new toon is turn off general chat Smile

Hellscream's definitely got more mature players on the horde side - tried playing as an alliance and it just about drove me mad Sad

usually play at least 4+hours a night unless I'm at my GF's (it's ok though - she's hooked on it as well and so is my best mate!)
