I asked this question in my post for Assault on Precinct 13, but I should have asked it in here.

About 10 years ago... maybe more, I watched a TV series with Brian Dennehy in it. I can only vaguely remember what it was about but I would like to know what the name of the TV Series. Brian Dennehy played the part of a detective(?) that was helping people who were down on their luck. From what I can remember he had to rescue people all of the time and they ended up owing him favours which he called apon every so often to help other person in distress. The plot was rather slim but he basically built a network of people who owed him favours in his community and took on the big powerful mob type bosses with the those favours.

Can anyone remember a series like this?

Nice one Chris. I'm a fan of Brian Dennehy ever since I saw him in F/X. He's definately under-rated for his work. I'll have to research to see what T.V. show Brian Dennehy starred in. I keep thinking The Equalizer, but wrong actor. I'm on the case.

Might have to watch hunter again... it could have been that show... but I am sure Brian Dennehy played the lead role in the show I was thinking of....

Maybe I was on drugs or something... I looked at his bio and I cannot see a show that looks like the one I was thinking of......
