| Could it be Johnny Knoxville (Walking Tall) and Sean William Scott (American Pie) as Bo and Luke Duke? You Bet it is. Directed by Jay Chandrasekhar (Club Dread) and Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke. Mmmm Jessica. This film is based on the hit television series of the 70's. The basic premise of the story the Duke boys raise hell and annoy the heck out of Boss Hog played by Burt Reynolds (Smokey and The Bandit). Sounds like good old fun times to me. Could be cheesy, but who cares. It should be a riot to watch with a great cast to carry the film all the way to the box office. |

hehe not sure about this flick. The Dukes of Hazzard was one of my favorite shows growing up. It was all about fast cars and family values... even if those values were a little bit weird. Problem is I grew up. That’s right I grew up. I recently watched an old episode of the Dukes of Hazzard and darn near vomited. Did I actually enjoy this show? Could I have been sooooo blind that I didn't notice that the General Lee nearly disintegrated every time it landed a jump? Okay I was young and that is my excuse... so don't even bother going there
So here is my take... Jessica Simpson == Yummmm.
Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott == Funny as hell.
Jay Chandrasekhar == Bad movie if anything like club dread
Burt Reynolds == Crap shoot.. could be good... but could also be very very bad.
General Lee == Dodge Charger... what was I thinking as a kid. Just imagine... it could have been a Ford Pinto... then we would all look dumb today.
My take on this new Dukes of Hazzard movie.… definitely a renter unless it gets great reviews in the first week. If it doesn’t get good reviews I will rent it and see. Now if only I could convince my local Silver City to give me a few free passes to review movies…. Wouldn’t that be nice. Oh well until then I have to be a little more discerning with my entertainment dollar. |

If he's had Daisy in his month, there goes 1/2 my reason for wanting to watch this movie
On the other hand....the show we watched as kids was a great way to stay up until 9....I know I always argued for the extra 30 minutes to finished watching my show |

I am not pretty sure this one is gonna suck, if the cast is who you say it is. I mean the Duke's were the Brady Bunch of Hillbillys. I can't see two guy's who play a stoned and or recovering stoner, and a foul mouthed rich kid most of the time as God fearing good natured country folk. Then we have Burt as Boss Hog? Please somebody shoot the casting director Boss Hog was a short fat guy with a hat as big as his gut. I could see Burt playing Rosco, but not Boss Hog.
Next we are gonna hear they got George Carlin to play Uncle Jesse, and the Rock to play Einus. Why not just make the General Lee a Chevy Impala while we are at it, and paint it blue. That would make as much sense as the the choices for cast members so far.
My choices would have to be:
Danny Devito as Boss Hog
Brendan Fraiser and Colin Ferral as Bo and Luke Duke
Jessica Alba as Daisy Duke
Kris Kristoferson(Wistler from Blade) as Unlce Jesse
I am not sure about Einus, Rosco, and Cooter. couldn't come up with any names right off the top of my head. |

| Uncle Jesse is played by Willie Nelson. There is still hope it might come out okay in the end. I hope. |
