I have received email in the last little while from people asking why I don't offer a music forum. So here ya go.
I will start it off.
My favorite band of all time has to be the Cult. My favorite songs from the Cult are as follows
Edie (Ciao Baby) from the Sonic Temple Album
Fire Woman also from the Sonic Temple Album
Wild Flower from the Electric Album
Peace Dog from the Electric Album
Lil' Devil from the Electric Album
Electric Ocean from the Electric Album
King Contrary Man from the Electric Album
Love Removal Machine from the Electric Album
Born To Be Wild from the Electric Album (Love this remake)
Love from the Love Album
She Sells Sanctuary from the Love Album
Revolution from the Love Album
As you can tell from my list of songs, I really liked this band. Ian Astbury had a great thing going with the Cult. I wished the band never broke up. After the Fire Women album it looked like they were going to make it big... Its a shame because this band was on the verge of great things. |

You knoe The Cult is a legendary band, but there is a band that totally rocks supernova style.NIRVANA.Niivana were the best band with the best sound to eplode in the late eighties later revolutinizing the dull music cheese scene in the early nineties. Then tragedy struck in 1994 when front man Kurt Cobain died of a self inflicted gunhot wound to the head leaving the world ,the fans,in shock.Music died that day leaving the radio stations playing on constant rotation new boring BUSh and Alanis Morrissete crap, and the occasional Nine Inch Nails and Alice In chains.NIRVANA came and went like a storm leaving their mark in music history. The best songs by Nirvana were these:
Come as you are
Heart Shaped Box
Moist Vagina
Scentless Apprentice
All Appologies
Breed
Dumb
Their cover Of David Bowies The Man who Sold The World
About a Girl
Negative Creep
Hairspray Queen
Dive
I Hate Myself And Want To Die
NIRVANA THE BEST BAND TO DATE |

Mr Film,
I liked Nirvana as well but I don't think they were even considered a good band until Kurt Cobain was found dead. Nirvana really became a hit after Kurt Cobain was found dead in his home and especially with the suspicious actions of Courtney Love in the events leading up to his death. This intrigue has made more fans of Nirvana after Kurt's death then before in my opinion. That whole business between Kurt and Courtney is suspicious to say the least. I wonder what really happened there. Too bad nobody is talking.
Nirvana is a good choice for favorite band of all time as I have numerous friends that liked them as well. I really liked their Nevermind and In Utero albums.
Hey did you buy their With The Lights Out 3CD Box Set? To me this was a cash grab by Courtney so I stayed away from it. |

You know Courtney Love is behind the death of Kurt Cobain, unfortunately though it will go on an unsolved mystery. Unless Courtney Love gets cracked out and accidently confesses. I agree with not buying any new Nirvana greatest hits or box sets. The reason being is the money will end up in the hands of junkie freakshow Courtney Love. I will not contribute to Courtney Loves addictions. Lets remember Nirvana the way the were. A phenomanal rock band from Aberdeen.
Mr Film leaving the music scene ready to listen to Nirvanas IN UTERO. A kickass album from start to finish. |

Don't know if I should admit this
Warrant is one of my favorites.
However, I can blame this on my early childhood, I was raised on the Queen Charlotte islands and radio reception was horrid. Consequently I spent most of my listening time listening to country tapes my dad liked
Which leads me to a great singer and truly yummy individual - Shania Twain |

Well its been a long time since I've had a favourite band. Working at HMV, in the backroom for the most part, I had the luxury of walking onto the floor, picking any cd I wanted to listen to, and taking it back into the backroom to listen to while receiving stock. However, as a result of this, my, at the time unknowingly, narrow musical tastes were expanded and I began to appreciate a considerably larger scale of music variety, making it impossibly difficult to pick any one band and say ---> this band is my favourite. However, one group has certainly come out of the sea of genres and ended up in my cd player 7 times out of 10 at least.
This band is AFI.
AFI's quick and haughty, spiraling guitar riffs and crashing percussion could get any punk or hard rock fan pumped up without fail. Formed in 1991, AFI went until 1995 before their first full album was released "Answer That And Stay Fashionable". I've listened to this one, and I think it kinda sucks lol, except for a few classics that is. HOWEVER! it gets much better. "Very Proud Of Ya" in 1996 and "Shut your Mouth And Open Your Eyes" in 1997, AFI was signed onto Nitro records, you may remember them from such bands as The Offspring, Guttermouth, or perhaps **MR FILM** The Start. In these 2 albums, AFI begins to distinguish themselves from other punk bands. These 2 albums are really good punk, dont get me wrong... but everything that has followed has been amazing.
1999 brought us "Black Sails In The Sunset". This is where things go wild! With guest vocals from The Offsprings Dexter Holland, fast, melodic punk is taken to a new level, and AFI fans don't even have enough time to get bored of Black Sails before "Art Of Drowning" came out in 2000, another great album great melodic punk/ hard rock, and has one of my all-time favourite songs.
A interesting note **MR FILM**, is that for their 2003 release "Sing The Sorrow," AFI hooked up with Garbage's Butch Vig for some recording, i know how you love Garbage heh heh. This album is amazing. High-Low, Hard-Slow, Acoustic-Distorted, this album has it all. My favourite for sure... I think..
To anyone interested in AFI, I would recommend any of these cd's, but especially "Sing The Sorrow" "Black Sails In The Sunset" and "The Art Of Drowning". When I first heard them, I wasnt sure what I thought of them, I encourage you to listen to it twice =D |

| AFI huh? There slowly creeping into my must play list. Honestly I've never been big on the punk scene. Garbage, yes are one of my favourites. Don't get me started on Shirley Manson. You know no one has ever educated me on music since................ |

I love Genesis, from the time Phil Collins took over Peter Gabriel's part in the band. |
