Okay... I am not a big TV series watcher. Recently a friend of mine lent me his copy of season 1 of Lost. I am fairly impressed with how good it was. It might be the fact I could sit down and watch the entire season 1 of Lost in lest then a week.. but I found myself really into the series.
It is strange how much better the camera work and special effects has become with respect to TV series now-a-days. You look at series like Band of Brothers, the Sapranos and now Lost, it is really impressive. Storyline is still weak, but it is significantly better then tv used to be... remember the Dukes of Hazzard? A Team?
Anyone else watching Lost? I am not watching season two until I can watch it on DVD.... so don't spoil it. |

I've always wanted to see Lost, but failed to get around to it. I think I'll have to borrow it from someone or just go out and purchase it. Lost looks and sounds great. Can't wait to see it. The only Tv series I own on DVD is The Simpsons Season 3. Good times with Homer and the gang in Springfield. |

My family went hardcore into the show, we borrowed it after the Aunt bought season 1. Must say I really enjoyed it.
Except them killing off the hottie. I was so not impressed by them removing yumminess from the show.
Of course now in season 2 we got a new loads of characters....and the female cop isn't all that bad really
For the guys that have seen this show, hottest women would be.....?
I'm thinking Kate now kinda by default. |

Lost is by far the best, original Tv series created. Lost is insanely addicting leaving the viewer wanting more and more. I can't wait for Season 2 to hit DVD. I will be first in line to own it. I hope Lost doesn't plunge into stupidity like most shows for example The X-Files. Lost could go on for a few more seasons then end at it's peak like Star Trek:The Next Generation, which was a brilliant idea before the show went downhill. The production company needs to know when to call it quits before wrecking a classic Tv series unlike any other. If you haven't had the oppurtunity or the interest to check out Lost do it now. Lost is a cross between The X-Files, Alive, Lord Of The Flies, Castaway mixed with Crack and LSD. Check it out from the start and you will be hooked. |

I agree, Lost is a great series. I wasn't really into it at first look at the previews but I was completely wrong on what the show was about.
After watching season 1 it has left me wondering what the heck is going on. On an almost episode by episode bases Lost leaves you wondering what is going on... once you think you have it figured out, the series takes another twist.
I am cannot wait to buy season two..... I simply need my Lost fix |

Hold on to your shirts ladies and gentleman.... The creators of Lost are looking for the right time to end the series.... looks like the TV series Lost might come to and end sooner than later....
The date will set a limit to the number of "Lost" seasons to come and will be announced to fans. The show's producers, speaking at ABC's Television Critics Association press tour session, said having a conclusion date will bolster fan confidence in the series' narrative. A timeline for making the decision was not announced.
"It's time for us now to find an endpoint for the show," said executive producer Carlton Cuse. "JK Rowling announced there were seven books in the Harry Potter series and it gives fans [a framework for understanding the arc of the show]. 'The X-Files' was a cautionary tale for us. It was a great show that ran two seasons too long. 'Lost' has a short-half life."
"None of us want to be doing the stalling show," added executive producer Damon Lindelof. "We don't want them to be building sandcastles next week."
Though the series ratings have dipped this fall, the show remains one of ABC's top-rated programs. During the first season, Mr. Lindelof said the show could run nine seasons if necessary, noting the island has plenty of mysteries. Recently, fans and critics have grown frustrated, however, with the show's continually expanding mythology that keeps piling on new mysteries and characters.
After the panel, Mr. Lindelof suggested the series might cap at 100 episodes, which would only result in two more seasons. But ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson sought to downplay the producers' statements, noting that "we've had those discussions for the past two years."
Earlier while on stage, Mr. McPherson said he agreed with critic complaints that the first six episodes this season pulled the story too far from the group dynamics that made the show popular.
"[The writers] made a clear choice that first installment would be about Jack, Kate, Sawyer and The Others," he said. "For me, the show I really invest in is having everybody together. I thought it was a riveting six episodes, but I like it when they're all together and they're heading toward that again after the break."
Though Mr. McPherson stood by his decision to schedule a four-month break in the "Lost" schedule this season, he reiterated his plan (first reported last month in TelevisionWeek) to try and run next season's episodes without a break or repeats, launching either in the fall or spring.
While at TCA, Mr. McPherson also said that freshman dramas "The Nine" and "Six Degrees," which were pulled from the schedule earlier this season, will likely return to finish their runs before May. But "Day Break" will only be available ABC.com.
Two other dramas on ABC's slate-"The Traveler" and "Notes From the Underbelly"-will premiere by the end of the season. |

Lost must go on. All I ask from the creators/writers of Lost is please have an explanation for everything going on. Don't be inconclusive. I need answers. We all need answers from the monsterous dark smoke killing people to the Others to what is the Island all about. Are they in purgatory or is this actually taking place for them. Lost is frustrating yet addictive. Does anyone know how many more episodes are left this season? Not enough if you ask me. |

I think the ending will explain nothing... and if you watch all the episodes from the beginning... you will find flaws with how they decide to end Lost.
This show rocks... I am not sure I want to know all the secrets Lost has to offer... I might not like it... heheh |

I've stopped watching it. It's an excellent show, but I'm a tie-up-the-lose-ends kinda guy...and this is a let's-see-how-many-loose-end-we-can-make kinda show.
Eventually I just "lost" interest
Oh, and according to my youngest, the black killing smoke is a "security system". Apparently that is all she wanted to know....and that a label actually explained things.
pffftttt! |

So, the black killing smoke is some sort of security sysyem. Was it created by the Others or was it always there?Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't some machine sounding thing knocking down trees usually appear first followed by the black smoke? Or is it just the black smoke all together? One more question about all of this is why does it pick and choose certain people to kill off and somehow leave others left alive and untouched? If anyone has any remote theory behind this please let me hear it. By the way there are only five episodes left this season. I wonder if a few more familiar faces will be killed off. I guess I have to wait and see. |
