anyone heard the new white stripes "icky thump"? Looks like Jack is back in top form. killer song, killer video. cant wait for the CD to come out next week and for them to come here in concert in sept.

Darth... I have heard Icky Thump and I plan on buying the album. It has a lot of base to it.... I really like it.

Darth I purchased the Icky Thump CD and it is pretty good. There are probably 5 tracks that are very good... the rest I am not sure about just yet... but I expect as I listen to the album the rest of the tunes are going to grow on me.

Have you purchased it yet? If so what do you think?

The White Stripes seem to have changed their style a little bit. I don't think it was too big of a departure like some people around here are saying... but the sound is a bit different for them.

Still love the heavy amounts of base they put into most tunes... I love a good baseline...

purchased it also on release day, over all it is pretty good. i would agree that out of the 13 tracks 5 or 6 are pretty good. the others will have to grow on me. definately better than get behind me satan but not as good as elephant.

i can definately do without the track that meg sings on, it sucks.

oh ya, i was excited for white stripes to come in concert sept 29th, well im still excited, but now i have to skip it, cause on oct 4th the cure is comin to slc and i cant miss that one, been waiting since i was 15 to see them Smile

Icky Thump isn't bad. I am a fan of The White Stripes and still claim Elephant to be Jack and Megs best, and solid work to date. I guess Icky Thump will have to grow on me a little more. Cool
