Does this movie seem an awful lot like Jumanji? The idea is basically the same. Two brothers, play a board game, this time called Zathura, in which the moves of the game become reality. Moves in the game have the children hurdling through outer space in their house. Zathura looks like it lacks original imagination right from the start, and it doesn’t have a great actor like Robin Williams to help movie along. I say this movie is a bust right from the get go. Jumanji was original, witty and well done. This movie looks like a poor carbon copy.

Probably be popular with the kids…..

this movie is based on a book written by the jumanji author, thats why it looks like a jumanji rip off

Who cares. It looks entertaining enough to check out. The concept is there, so is the story and special effects. Kids will like it and that's what matters in the long run.

Who cares? I dont want to waste my time on a regurgitated movies. If it turns out to be good then I will hear about it, and I will check it out. As it stands I am nit planning on watching it.

For kids it will probably be just fine. Luckily I wont have kids dragging me to this one Smile

Zathura == crap
No Kids == Boycott crap
Chris == Smart

I did the math, worked out the vectors and found the answer.
