How Carreck.com critics review movies.

Movie Review:
1997 - Titanic. The blockbuster film by James Cameron
1999 Star Wars Episode 1. Long awaited prequel

Movie reviews are a difficult thing to do properly. One person might only be interested in the acting in a movie, the next only worried about the story; another might be interested in how the film was directed. All of these different types of movie critiques rate each movie differently. The major review sites make many mistakes when reviewing and describing movies to the fans. They look at story, acting and plot to determine a good movie. Though these things are important I feel the most important part of reviewing a movie often gets left out... was it entertaining. Generally I do not write my movie critiques to worry too much about the plot, story and acting. I only care about how I felt when the movie was done, and how much I enjoyed a movie overall. Let the stuffy pompous people worry about the quality of the acting and such... that's not for me.

One of my favorite movies of all time has to be Major Payne. This movie starring Damon Wayans, Karyn Parsons, Michael Ironside and Christopher Williams was very entertaining. The premise of the film is simple. Daymon Waynes plays a military combat killing machine who cannot find work in a new peaceful world. Upon leaving the military he falls on hard time trying to live life as a civilian. After a few mis-haps he is offered a job as ROTC instructor of Madison Military School. Long and the short of this story is that Major Payne learns how to interact with people at the same time bringing discipline to the students. The off beat comical twists and turns in this movie make it fun for just about everyone. If you like silly humor you will like this show, if not, avoid it like the plague.

One of the more famous lines in this movie are
"You want me to take your mind off of that pain? Now you might feel a little bit of pressure" as Major Payne tries to help a young student who is slightly injured, taking his mind off of the pain, by breaking his little finger.
