She started schooling at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute (enrolled at age 11) attended the New York University (majored in Film; attended night classes, 1997) She married Billy Bob Thornton on March 28, 1996, separated on October 1, 1997 and filed for divorce on February 3, 1999 Angelina's father is John Voight an accomplished actor and mother is Marcheline Bertrand a former actress. Angelina Jolie's is known for her award winning acting talent and her exotic beauty, full lips, wild child image, numerous tattoos and her humanitarian work with refugees. Earning much acclaim Angelina has received three Golden Globes as well as an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Lisa Rowe in the Girl, Interrupted which she co starred with Winona Ryder. In July 2005, Jolie became the third actress to join the coveted "$20 Million Club" of actresses commanding fees of $20 million per movie. She joined Cameron Diaz and Julia Roberts when she signed to do Mr. & Mrs. Smith for that amount. As a side note: Angelina Jolie became a citizen of Cambodia on August 11, 2005 by decree of King Norodom Sihamoni; Angelina earned the citizenship in honor of her environmental work in the country, but it doesn't affect her U.S. citizenship.
