Daniela’s first big break came when she was 19 years old. A modeling scout spotted the 5'11" blue-eyed blonde beauty and asked her to enter a contest, which she won. Pestova then flew to Paris to sign with the Madison Agency and has been a steady worker and a fan favorite model ever since. Daniela lived in France for two years before moving to New York City. The move was scary as Daniela didn't speak any English but it didn’t seem to matter. Her career took off. Pestova went on to grace the covers of GQ, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Marie Claire, and Glamour. In 1994 she made a contract with L'Oreal to become their spokesperson and print model. In addition, she modeled for Victoria's Secret. Pestova is also famous for being on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1995 and 2000. The supermodel was once married to the Italian CEO of The Fashion Café, Tomasso Buti, but the couple split up in 1998. The two have one son named Yannick.
