Pussycat Dolls Biography

The Pussycat Dolls were the brainchild of choreographer Robin Antin, who founded the sexy burlesque troupe in 1993. Two years later, they performed for the first time onstage at Johnny Depp's Viper Room and swiftly began recruiting some elite Hollywood starlets to play guest Dolls for a day. Charlize Theron, Gwen Stefani, Pink, Britney Spears, Scarlett Johansson and Carmen Electra have all hit the stage in the girls' signature garb. The Pussycat Dolls' stage act follows the classic tradition of burlesque groups having a strong sexual performance that focuses on teasing, humor and innuendo instead of sex and nudity.

The Pussycat Dolls have had star power to help guide them over the years with guest appearances by a wide range of celebrities. Famous singers like Britney Spears who joined the Pussycat Dolls in a performance for her brother Bryan's birthday. Pink showcased the Pussycat Dolls in her video for the song "Trouble." Other famous "guests" the Pussycat Dolls have had over the years include; Gwen Stefani, Christina Applegate, Charlize Theron and the "angels" in the movie Charlie's Angels : Full Throttle.

Nicole Kea), Carmit Bachar, Cyia Batten, Kasey Campbell, Kaya Jones, Ashley Roberts, Rachel Sterling, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt.
